Different forms of dialogue - part 2

Here is the result of the last post about the different styles of dialogue.

2 - The indirect style : in this type of dialogue, the narrator reports the speech of his characters.

- Benefits: fluidity. The words are reported, without cutting the sentence by including, mostly in a subordinate clause.

- Disadvantages: it causes the sequence of tenses which distorts the exact words, changing personal pronouns and the use of that and that , adding to the sentence .

Example:

"When Jane saw his brother walking on the street Bronx, she ran to him and ordered him of clear out quickly.
