How To Make A Motherboard Tray

The various forms of dialogue

There are different types of dialogue that the writer can use to report the speech of his characters. They are:

1 - the direct style;
2 - indirect style;
3 - free indirect style.

1 - The direct style :

"The typographical dialogue in the books can take different forms. By convention, when it comes to one or a few sentences, quoting the words of the characters in quotation marks in the text. quote from Lisey's story written by Stephen King in which this method is used.

In this passage Lisey must call the institute at Greenlawn to place his sister Amanda who became "vegetable".

was a record. Lisey had made ducks.
Yeah, but they believe not get off so cheaply, thought she, pressing the 5 key Information Relating to Admission of a Patient.
"Do not quit, we seek your correspondent," the pleasant female voice informed him, before being replaced by the orchestra playing Prozac something that vaguely resembled Homeward Bound Paul Simon.
Lisey turned his head to tell Darla that she was waiting, but Darla was mounted a look at Amanda.
You bet she told herself. That it bore no susp ...
"Hello, Cassandra at your service, what can I do for you? "
Name ominous, Babylove, issued on Scott who had taken up residence in his head.
"I'm Lisa ... Landon Scott Landon. "

" However, in a dialogue consists of several replicas, use a dash to signify a change of speaker. You can open the quotes before the dash to the initial response and close after the dash of the terminal reply as can simply omit the quotes and start the verbal exchange with a hyphen, without opening quotes. It is important to choose a convention and meet throughout the novel or new. Here is another excerpt of the story cited above, in which the quotes are used with dashes.

"I want you to place the cat in your freezer, Mrs. Landon. You can leave it in the bag is perfect. Someone will take him tomorrow to take him to Kendall and Jesperson. These are veterinarians with whom we work. They will attempt to determine the cause of death ...

- It should not be difficult, "said Lisey. The mailbox was full of blood.

- Hm-hmm. Too bad you did not take some shots Polaroid before any cleaning.

- Oh please accept my apologies! Lisey exclaimed, stung.

- Calm down, "said Clutterbuck. Calm himself. "I understand that you were shocked. Anyone would have been. "

Not you, Lisey thought bitterly. You would have stayed as cool as a cat in the freezer ....

Here is an extract from the fifth book in the Harry Potter, which uses dashes to the dialogues.

About seven o'clock in the evening, all guests had arrived, led by Fred and George who had expected at the end of the road. Hagrid for the occasion was his best - And horrible - brown suit and fluffy. Despite the big smile that Lupin sent him, pressing his hand, Harry thought he looked unhappy. It was strange because Tonks, who stood beside him, looked simply radiant.

- Happy birthday. Harry, she said, and she hugged him.

- So that's it, you have seventeen years? Hagrid launched by taking the glass of the size of a network that offered him Fred. It has been six years since we seen for the first time, Harry, you remember?

- Vaguely, he replied with a smile. It was the day you broke down the door, where you grow a pigtail at Dudley, where you told me I was a wizard?

- I forgot the details, Hagrid chuckled. Okay, Ron, Hermione?

- Okay, Hermione assured. And you?

- Oh, not bad. Much work, we had babies unicorns, I'll show you when you come.

Harry avoided the gaze of Ron and Hermione as Hagrid rummaged in his pocket.

- Hey, Harry, "said Hagrid. Did not offer you anything, but I remembered I had it.

He pulled out a small purse at the sight slightly downy, with a long cord obviously intended to be passed around the neck.

- Skin Moke. You can hide what you want in there, and only its owner can recover what he has put. Rare that stuff.

- Thank you, Hagrid!
